If you see your SQL with orange background similar to this

then this is due to a new feature in N++ 8.4.6  which is called "Display Change History". 
Please switch it off and give it a try.

This issue is now fixed with Release 6.23.02.01

No need anymore to turn the "Display Change History" feature off 😀
