For the last couple of updates of the Notepad++ plugin, "SQL Lists" & "Ins/Updt/Del" panels are blank. (Maybe like it thinks I have the Free version)?

My "Lifetime" registration key is installed

I am using

  • GUI ver 6.24.2.23, Engine Release 6.24.03.22
  • Notepad++ Version 8.6.4

Any thoughts as how to diagnose what is happening?

By the way, notice that if i scroll all the way to the right in the Ins/Updt/Del window, I get a single input field whose default value is "1".

Thanks for the screenshot. This is strange. In the Ins/Upd/Del Tab there is also a vertical scroll bar. Did you already try to scroll to the bottom

Anyway this looks like an error in the panel design. I will check this tomorrow.

Regards

Guido

Nothing else appears in the Ins/Updt/Del panel if I scroll down.

Hi @kick, is the same behavior happening in the SQLinForm Windows App. It uses the same screen panels.

Hi Guido, The SQLinForm Windows App works correctly. No issue there. (It doesn't like my registration info but that is a separate topic for a different day).

Thanks,

-Kick

Hi Guido, much closer.

  1. Ins/Upd/Del -> "Columns per line" vertical alignment of is slightly off.
  2. SQL Lists ->  "Vals/Line" fields are missing.

For the SQL Lists Panel, could you please uncheck "After Comma" and check "Before Comma" and check if this helps

Do you have high resolution monitor?

Hi @kick, maybe the issue is related to the new "numericUpDown" gui elements. I changed their properties a little bit.

Would you mind downloading the latest Release 6.24.03.27 and give it a try?

Regards

Guido

Well, good news/bad news. It affected a change, just not for the better. 🙂

Hi @kick, thanks for your patience. I wonder why I can't reproduce this issue. I tested it on several machines with different monitors and it always looks fine

* Do you know which .net framework Versions you have installed?

* Could you please de-install the Plugin and re-install it. This will delete all the Profiles. I wonder if the Profiles are corrupt and produce some exceptions

Thanks

Guido

Hi Guido, I will check on the .net versions and will also de-install and re-install the plugins. I created the profiles ~5 years ago so they have been through a large number of changes and Npp++ upgrades.

Thanks, -Kick

@kick I replaced all these numericUpDown control elements by DropDown Boxes. Could you please let me know if the design is now looking fine on your side.

It should look like this
