Allmost all my sql-files are UTF-8 encoded.
When I press SQLInForm button the encoding is set to ansi (even without converting the text).
Is there an option to preserve file encoding. This behavior is a real pain and a source of critical errors.
Hi @hpwn , thanks for your feedback.
Could you please explain me how you check/see in N++ which encoding is active.
The Formatter should not change encoding.

Guido
I tested it and on my PC I still see the UTF-8 encoding after Formatting the SQL
Which Version of the Plugin did you install?

Guido
Hi Guido,
You're right, de jure the encoding is not changed, but the german umlauts are ansi coded.
before SQLinForm
and after
if I then set encoding to Ansi the text is restored but the file is in a new encoding
Sorry,
forgot to answer Youre question about my version:
Allright, I've actually installed the newest version and evething works fine. I thougt, as I've downloaded the plugin from the npp plugin plattform just three days before, that I'm allready working with the actual sw. My fault.
Thanks for your valuable feedback. It's probably time to publish a new version to the N++ plugin directory
Regards
Guido
